Direct School Admission (Integrated Programme) 2026
The DSA-Sec exercise provides students with an opportunity to seek admission to a secondary school based on a diverse range of achievements and talents beyond the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).
The River Valley Integrated Programme (RVIP)
River Valley High School’s (RVHS) 6-year Integrated Programme is designed
to develop leaders of distinction for Singapore. We aim to nurture thinkers,
leaders and achievers with good character, bicultural acumen and global

2026 RVHS DSA-Sec Categories
We invite Primary 6 students who are highly motivated and demonstrate
passion, grit, and talent in the following areas to apply to our school
under the Direct School Admission (DSA) Exercise. Application
is via MOE online portal https://www.moe.gov.sg/secondary/dsa/application from
6 May 2026, 11am to 2 June 2026, 4.30pm.
The DSA talent areas that students can apply for in 2026 are

[3] Hold a key position in 2026 Primary School Prefectorial Board or equivalent
[4] Prior knowledge of Python programming is highly recommended as it is an accessible and beginner-friendly language. Students who are well versed in other common programming languages, such as C++ or Java, may also apply. The school will provide appropriate Java and C++ IDEs for students who choose to use these languages during the trial. Block-based programming languages are not accepted.
DSA Process Stage 1 - Shortlisting
Shortlisting Criteria for 2026 Applicants must fulfil
the following criteria to be shortlisted for school-based DSA test and
interview:

Good and consistent academic performance in Primary School including P5 Year-End and P6 Mid-Year results (if available)

Good performance for Chinese Language in P5 and P6

Demonstrate aptitude and strength in the specific talent areas
Note: Meeting all the above criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted for talent test and interview / given an offer for the DSA exercise.
You will receive notification from the school by 10 July (Friday) if your child has been shortlisted to undergo Direct School Admission (DSA) selection.
DSA Process Stage 2 - DSA Selection Tests and Interviews
Students shortlisted for the respective DSA talent area will be informed
of the date & time for their DSA test and preparations needed for
the test via email.

Shortlisted students for the respective DSA talent areas will be notified via email and be informed of the interview session on one of the following scheduled dates:

· 4, 5 August (Tues, Wed)
DSA Process Stage 3 – Confirmation of DSA Results
All applicants for RVHS DSA-Sec Exercise 2026 will be notified of their
outcomes (i.e. Confirmed Offer / Waiting list / Unsuccessful status) between
17 August and 28 August 2026 via email.
Successful applicants will join RVHS in January 2027. Students will be assessed on both their demonstrated and potential ability to ensure that they benefit from the rigorous curriculum offered at RVHS.
Further Information for Parents and Students:
Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student's aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools' academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent. Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply and will be assessed on the basis of their potential.
Students who are successful in the DSA Selection are NOT allowed to participate in the S1 Posting Exercise and are NOT allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results.
Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are required to honour their commitment to the school for the duration of the 6-year Integrated Programme, and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from Sec 1 to Sec 4. Students are strongly encouraged to continue pursuing the same talent area when they are in Junior College.
